From the perspective of export markets, China and Hong Kong ranked first, with exports of US$122.79 million, accounting for 39.4% of total exports, up 71.8% from the same period of the previous year. The United States ranked second with US$17.5 million. Exports were 5.6%, down 42.8% year-on-year; Thailand ranked third with US$15.38 million, accounting for 4.9%, up 36.1% year-on-year.
In terms of imports, in January-February 2010, the import value of Taiwan's machine tools reached US$76.83 million, an increase of 44.5% over the previous year.
