Mr. Wu explained that the porcelain bowls, porcelain cups, and ceramic tiles that we commonly find in Japan are made of a large number of ceramic particles. These ceramic particles are all derived from natural minerals, but their properties are unstable and they are not suitable for adding to clothing. The ceramics we need to make clothes must be extremely fine and have a stable chemical nature. To achieve this goal, researchers use nanotechnology to break it down into ultrafine (nanometer) powders.

How much is 1 nanometer? Mr. Wu gave an analogy to reporters. A 1 nanometer object was placed on a table tennis ball, like a table tennis ball on the earth. This is the concept of nanometer length.

When we make ceramic particles only a dozen to dozens of nanometers, its chemical properties are very stable, and we can add various health care components according to actual needs. This kind of stable and fine ceramic particles are added to a fiber with a diameter of ten micrometers, and then these fibers are used to make fabrics. Finally, ceramic garments can be made.

The nano-ceramic powders can be combined with high-molecular organic materials such as leather, rubber, cotton, hemp, and silk after they are wrapped on a layer of organic film.

Just like water and oil cannot be integrated, inorganic materials and high molecular organic materials cannot be easily combined. However, we know that ceramics are inorganic materials, and the materials used to make garments are almost all high-molecular organic materials. Cotton, linen, silk, leather and so on. Mr. Wu Jinchuan told reporters that after the unremitting efforts of researchers at the Fine Ceramics Laboratory of Tsinghua University, he finally invented a microencapsulation technology. This technique is to coat each fine ceramic particle with a layer of organic film, and then melt it through high-temperature over 200 degrees on high-molecular organic materials such as cotton, hemp and leather. In this way, inorganic ceramics can be combined with organic fibers to produce household articles with various nano-ceramic composite functions.
