Our factory is an old factory producing printing machinery. Recently, in the parts of the high-speed three-side cutting machine developed, there is a part of the inner spherical surface that needs to be processed (see Figure 1). According to the actual situation of our factory, the processing of the inner spherical surface should be Arranged for processing on a trampoline, because the processing of the trampoline is not only responsible for the processing of parts of our factory, but also for the external processing of parts, the processing pressure is relatively large. Later, through the QC group public relations, through the production of simple model tooling, a test on the lathe was successful, the tooling shown in Figure 2.

The tooling can be processed by replacing the template, and can also process spherical, curved, tapered and other profiles of different specifications. It has the characteristics of simple structure and convenient use, and is suitable for single piece and mass production. The template 15 and the bracket 11 are fixed by the coupling screw 17, and after the coupling screw 17 is loosened, the template 15 can slide freely up and down in the long groove of the bracket 11, and it is convenient to replace the template.

Before using the tooling, the workpiece surface should be finished. If the spherical surface has parallelism or perpendicularity requirements, the workpiece surface should be ground to improve the workpiece mounting accuracy. The workpiece processed on the circumferential surface is fixed with a single-action chuck of the lathe, and then the hole is pre-drilled and roughened, leaving a machining allowance of 2 mm. Fixing the clip 6 on the lathe tool holder, moving the large pallet so that the cutter tip is aligned with the center of the workpiece spherical surface, the bracket 11 is fixed on the guide rail of the lathe, and then the tailstock 16 is moved to make the center and the roller of the template 15 The center of the 14 is aligned, the bracket ejector pin is used to hold the bracket 11, and then the tailstock is locked, the bolt 7 is pulled out, and finally the inner spherical surface is turned.

The tool holder has a simple structure and convenient use, and the inner spherical surface or the spherical surface of different specifications can be processed only by changing the template. When machining, the large pallet can be automatically moved longitudinally, and the machining precision can reach H7 level, which can meet the general technical requirements, and the surface roughness value can reach Ra=3.2μm.

In addition, the following points should be noted when processing:

(1) The center distance between the tip 4 of the cutter head and the cutter pin 8 and the center distance of the roller 14 to the cutter pin 8 should be equal, otherwise the processed spherical surface is inconsistent with the template.

(2) The vernier caliper should be selected for the measurement of the spherical size of the workpiece. First measure the length of the tailstock sleeve and then exit the tool holder to measure the inner spherical surface. If you need to continue to eat the knife, then swing the knife holder back, the length of the tailstock should be the same as the original extension length, otherwise it will cause the center of the workpiece to be offset.

(3) The adjusting screw 9 is appropriately adjusted so that the pressure spring 10 has a certain pressure on the arbor so that the roller 14 is always placed against the template 15, so that the processed inner spherical surface is completely coincident with the template.
