Green onions are one of the most shelf-stable vegetables in winter. They are stored in natural conditions, except for storage in a thermostat. As long as you create a cool, dry, and ventilated environment, you can safely overwinter and supply the market at any time. Common storage methods are:
(1) Ground storage method On the flat ground at the leeward, spread 3~4 cm thick sand, and dry the bundled green onion password on the sand, with the root facing down, the code width is 1 to 1.5 meters. After the code is good, the 15 cm high sand is cultivated in the roots of the onion, and the grass curtain and plastic film are covered with rain.
(2) Trench method Drill a shallow trench 20 to 30 cm deep and 50 to 70 cm wide in a cool and ventilated place. Bundle the selected and dried green onions into bundles of about 10 kilograms. After filling the ditch with water, put a bunch of green onions into the ditch, use the soil to bury the scallions, and use a straw around the circle to facilitate ventilation. Cover the straw before the temperature drops.
