PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rigid PVC is one of the most widely used plastic materials. PVC material is a non-crystalline material. PVC materials are often added with stabilizers, lubricants, auxiliary processing agents, colorants, impact agents and other additives in actual use. Although PVC profiles have some unique properties that are not found in natural materials, they also have defects such as low strength, poor heat resistance and large coefficient of linear expansion. Therefore, it is often necessary to enhance the production of door and window profiles. The general reinforcement method is to insert a metal material into the cavity of the profile for secondary reinforcement. The so-called "plastic steel doors and windows" on the market are almost always produced by this method.
However, this method of reinforcement cannot solve the problem fundamentally. Therefore, how to carry out one-time composite extrusion processing of reinforcing materials and PVC has been the subject of research. Foreign countries are more advanced in this area, and have already introduced steel-plastic composites, aluminum-plastic composites, wood-plastic composites and other profiles. These composite profiles are mainly used for structural materials and load-resistant components in addition to door and window profiles. Domestic manufacturers have also introduced plastic-steel composite profiles for doors and windows, which can be described as "plastic steel" doors and windows.
The earliest and simplest example of composite extrusion of PVC and metal materials is the well-known wire and cable. The most popular products in the past two years are aluminum-plastic composite pipes. Although the technical principle is the same, the technical practice of composite extrusion of rigid PVC profiles with steel sheets or sections is much more difficult. The difficulty is as follows: the composite extrusion die is more complicated; the hard material for co-extrusion is not wound like the copper wire; the bonding of the composite material to the PVC requires pre-treatment and the like.
The composite extrusion materials currently used for window profiles are steel, aluminum alloy and wood. Before the steel composite extrusion, there must be a degreasing and derusting treatment process; the wood should have a dry coating process; the aluminum alloy profile requires a special drawing process. Disposable composite extruded profiles are undoubtedly superior to current secondary reinforcement profiles. Different composite extruded profiles have different performance characteristics, but from the original intention of developing plastic doors and windows, steel-plastic composite extruded profiles are the most ideal. It will be a revolutionary development of plastic doors and windows.
