There are many reasons for car rust. Mainly because the paint of the car is caused by the small stones on the road or the small accident caused by the accident, the metal surface is directly exposed to moisture and air, causing the metal to rust. Rusting will increase and spread over time, especially when there is heavy rain or heavy snow. So whether you want to keep or sell the car, no rust will make your car look cleaner and beautiful.

Steps and methods:

1. Safety measures. Prepare a pair of gloves, goggles and dust mask. (Sometimes you even need a respirator.) When you work, there is a lot of dust and paint flying everywhere, you don't want to get your eyes or lungs.

2. Cover the car surface where you don't want to get dirty. Use oil-proof tape to divide the area where you want to remove the rust.

3. Wrap the car. This is a very important step and it is very easy to make mistakes. Don't use ordinary newspapers, paint will infiltrate and leave spots on your car. Use some thin, long and empty masking papers similar to those used in painting. Moreover, a simple covering surface is not enough, especially if the edge is found to flow to the bottom, so you must glue all the edges with the tape, not just a small piece nearby.

4. When there is a groove line on the surrounding surface that needs to be rusted, do not break it in the middle or through it as shown in the figure, but spray it along this line, otherwise it will form on the surface of the car. An obvious line.

5. Use the sander to remove paint and rust from the rust. Use a sander to remove the paint and primer near the rust point, and go out with those rust stains, smooth the area of the painted surface and the sanding area, and feel it with your fingers until the surface is smooth and smooth. Be careful when grinding rust spots, as it is very likely that there will be a small pit due to food, and some fillers can be purchased to ensure smooth polishing.

6. Choose the appropriate metal surface primer and spray paint according to the color of your car.

7. According to the primer guide you have purchased, prepare the area where you need to primer. Usually you should do this: wipe the work area with solvent oil or diluted paint; stick the paper with tape in the surrounding area.

8. Evenly spray the paint. Spray three coats of paint, each layer is separated by a few minutes and will not dry completely after at least 12 hours.

9. Polish the surface with wet Sandpaper. This time the grinding is mainly to make the multi-layer paint more smooth and shiny, so as to better bond. Prepare a bucket of water to clean the sandpaper and keep the work surface clean with clean water.

10. Spray a thin layer of surface paint. Use the paint that best suits your body color to finish the job and remove the tape for at least 24 hours.

11. The new painted edge of the polished surface allows it to blend better with the old paint. If necessary, apply a new layer of paint to the rest of the body.

12. Place the paint to cure for 48 hours. Wash and polish the car, do not wax the new paint within 30 days.
