Installation notes for glass rotor flowmeter
1) The flowmeter should be installed vertically, and the angle between the centerline of the flowmeter and the plumb line should not exceed 5°.
2) In order to facilitate the replacement of the float and other components during use, there should be sufficient space at the installation of the flow meter.
3) According to the need of maintenance, replacement of the flowmeter and cleaning pipeline, the bypass pipe should be installed according to the bypass type.
4) Large-diameter flowmeters, in order to avoid damage caused by bending of the pipeline, the flowmeter should be fixedly supported if necessary.
5) If there is backflow in the pipeline, especially the water hammer, in order to prevent damage to the flowmeter, a one-way check valve should be installed after the downstream valve of the flowmeter.
6) If the fluid to be tested contains large particles or is dirty, install a filter upstream of the flowmeter.
7) If the fluid to be tested contains air bubbles, an exhaust port should be provided upstream of the flowmeter as needed.
8) If the flow of the fluid to be measured is a pulsating flow, causing the fluctuation of the float to be incorrectly measured, a buffer or a calibrator should be provided upstream of the flowmeter to eliminate the pulsation.
9) The valve should be installed upstream of the flowmeter. The flow regulating valve is recommended to be installed 5 to 10 times the nominal diameter of the downstream of the flowmeter.
