According to foreign media reports, Star Wars fans have successfully developed an "air bike" that looks amazingly similar to the Empire Motorcycle in the movie. The triaxial aircraft is called "Flike" and has recently launched a series of manned flight tests for the first time.

“Flike is a revolutionary, fully electronic single-person flight device developed in Hungary,” the creator explained. “Technically, it is a coaxial, six-rotor triaxial aircraft. This means that its lift is provided by six rotors, and the six rotors are rotated in groups, and the axes of the three sets of rotors are evenly distributed on a ring."

In the first test, Flike took off at a weight of 210 kilograms and could only fly a few seconds off the ground. In the second test, it successfully flew a few meters in the air for a total of 30 seconds, while still completing the hovering and other actions. The prototype was developed by Bay Zoltan, a non-profit, state-owned research institute in Hungary, which lasted for one year.

Thanks to this layout, Flike can fly by adjusting the rotational speed of each rotor. The company claims that its performance during flight is similar to that of a helicopter. For example, it can hover, roll, tilt, drift, rotate, temporarily deviate, climb, turn, and dive in the air. The onboard computer installed on it automatically handles aircraft stability, location and altitude data.

The research team said it has other flight performance, but these features are currently "not yet named." The aircraft's electronic engine is powered by a lithium-polymer battery that can be used for 15 to 20 minutes of hovering or 30 to 40 minutes of cruising.

In view of the success of the first test flight, Bau is ready to start building a second prototype and eventually put it into commercial production.
